Recent meetings
We have focused on the Age Friendly work and campaigns on health, social care digital exclusion, pensioner poverty. Council Cabinet members have attended. We have also questioned the way the NPC is being run and objected to the suspension of our members
Campaigns
Members have attended marches and rallies with the SPAG banner – Pensioner Poverty, Keep our NHS Public, Stand Up to Racism, Aylesham Centre proposals, Palestine, Independent Age on the cut to the Winter Fuel allowance (see the photo).
Regular meetings
We meet on the first Friday of every month in Southwark Pensioners’ Centre. All SPC members and other over-50s are welcome. Please join us at our meetings at the Centre or on Zoom. The dates of the next meetings are 7th March, 4th April, 2nd May, 6th June 2025.
They start promptly at 10.30am, but you’re welcome to come at 10.15am for refreshments and a chat.
Together, we (including you!) can make a difference. So join us to make Southwark a better place for older people and others. Many of the things we are fighting for will improve the lives of people of all ages.
