About us

A registered charity, SPC provides a welcoming space where anyone aged over 50 can access a wide range of services, participate in social activities, and find a sense of belonging.

Each year we support 1,700 older people to live independently and enjoy life to the full. All the Trustees and staff at SPC have lived experience of the issues affecting older people in Southwark.

In 2026, with the support of Southwark Council, we will move into new premises which will enable us to deliver our services to more vulnerable older people. Our new centre will be located at the heart of the Camberwell community, with good transport connections and has been designed with the specific needs of older people in mind, particularly those with chronic health conditions and disabilities. Our new centre is being developed in line with sustainability principles and will help Southwark Council in achieving their ambition of Net Zero by 2050.
